Why does my boiler come on an hour or more after the timer control has turned off?

When the boiler fires, the radiators do not get warm, but I don’t know if the hot water is being heated. The controller is completely off, and the roomstat is set to its lowest temp. The cylinder stat is turned right down – 50 degrees. The motorised valve was changed recently, and it may be this strange phenomenon happened after that. The new one is a Honeywell. Could the wiring be causing the problem? The only way I can turn the boiler off is by turning off the electricity to the pump.
Any ideas?

It is possible that the new motorised valve has been wired wrong. The orange wire on the valve powers up the boiler and the pump when the micro switch inside the valve has been made, the grey wire is the permanent feed to the switch,if these wires are crossed or the switch is sticking then this will override any room/cylinder stats or time controllers.
Is there 2 two port Valves or 1 three port valve?

My honeywell furnace will not open the main gas valve?

please get someone to check. it could be to do with the pump, a similar fault caused us a fire a few years back and almost caused a fatality as well. still nervous.

I know what this is it is a virus in the control panel i had it too and it set fire to my budgerigars vests which were hanging up in the cupboard to dry after he had drnk too much lager and been sick over them i had to hand wash em as they are real wool.
anyway it is a virus in the control panel there is a lot of it going about.
Have you downloaded any gas from limewire recently

sounds like boiler maintains constent temp and is not controlled by thermostat.
